TrueGeekRadio - 12/24/2011

We're back! It's a Christmas miracle! I WANT TO LIVE! We're joined by Jason Surrency who fills the Mike Wong sized hole, if just barely, as we madly discuss some Doctor Who in What's Happenin' and the hotness rank of his companions. Then we go about our Thing of the Year discussions in the Geek Missive, as we list and then whittle down the categories in preparation of next week's decisions. After that, a pair of WTF's end our show on particularly hilarious note.

Sunday, December 11, 2011

TrueGeekRadio - 12/10/2011

Mr. Jason Surrency joins us this week, providing a Geek Missive that challenges our morals on a personal level. But before we get there, we have our usual shenangians talking about Civilization V, Tribes: Ascend, OnLive and the new tablet app, and Matt's absurdist comic series Cats via WarioWare DIY. News follows, then a pair of WTF's that make us and our addictive gaming habits seem like nothing. Can you believe Wallace has never seen American Psycho? He's off the podcast, don't worry.

Sunday, December 4, 2011

TrueGeekRadio - 12/03/2011

It's a shorter show this week as we come down from our Turkey Comas from last week and finish up the games we've been gaming and the shows we've been...showing? But first, Wallace gets banned from League of Legends, but finds solace in SkyRim's frosty mountains, Mike carries on an illicit love affair with his Kinect, and Matt is dumbfounded by Super Mario 3D Land and Walking Dead's mid-season finale. Then a discussion of what makes a good TV show go bad is before a jam packed Newsfeed full of a whole bunch of non-stories. Hey, it was a slow week.

Sunday, November 27, 2011

TrueGeekRadio - 11/26/2011

We're giving Nintendo love? No! That's insanity. But oh, it happened. Matt bestows some love on the 3DS and Skyward Sword, with only a few control issues. Wallace then reflects on his League of Legends rankings, and Mike humble brags about his eBook collection. Thanksgiving and Black Friday stories are the order of the day in Geek Missive, along with one of the guys actually starting his own Pokemon League. Find out which one it was!

Monday, November 21, 2011

TrueGeekRadio - 11/21/2011

Mike visits Steelport in Saints Row the Third, Matt haunts Murder House in American Horror Story, and Wallace desperately tries to keep his feet on the ground in Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, all in What's Happenin'. Then the boys discuss Telltale juicing their Jurassic Park The Game review scores, before checking the Newsfeed for the week. It's an action packed show full of explosions, Muppets, and masturbation. Matt Erazo Masturbates 3: Modern Warfare.

Monday, November 14, 2011

TrueGeekRadio - 11/14/2011

Modern Warfare 3, The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and of course, SKYRIM!!!, are all cramed into What's Happenin' as we start. Then we ponder the future of the Call of Duty franchise and whether it can truly innovate anymore in the Geek Missive, before tackling the week's headlines. Then it's a trio of Modern Warfare 3 WTF stories as people out there will do ANYTHING to get their hands on the game. Wong want's to be Brad Pitt. We told him he can be anyone if he believes it.

Sunday, November 6, 2011

TrueGeekRadio - 11/05/2011

We return after a short hiatus because of computer problems. With them ironed out, we start with a beefy What's Happenin', talking Batman Arkham City, Steve Job's recent bio, and some podcast meta talk. Then we tackle the week's headlines, including Gearbox responding to Duke Nukem's criticism and the Nook Tablet, in the Newsfeed. But not before the Geek Missive, where we discuss the real reason for piracy, then finish off with a pair of Star Wars related WTF stories.

Wednesday, October 19, 2011

TrueGeekRadio - 10/15/2011

It's a new show format as we decide to be more organized and have actual segments. We start with "What's Happenin'", discussing Dark Souls, iOS5, and Scream 4, then move into Geek Missive, where we discuss Kotaku's decision to spoil Arkham City in the headline. Then we check the Newsfeed, where Netflix scrapping Qwikster, multiplayer in Mass Effect 3, and Barnes and Noble removing DC Comics off the shelf all live. We cap it all off with a truly bizarre WTF. Wallace makes my dick cum.

Saturday, October 1, 2011

TrueGeekRadio - 10/1/2011

We got a soundboard! Don't worry, we promise not to use it for evil, but will use it for hilarious drops. Or just to shout Mortal Kombat over and over again. We haven't decided. We talk Warhammer 40K politics, muscle regeneration, new MK movie, DC New 52 Week 5, Amazon's new Kindles, Binding of Issac, Blood Bowl, and much more.

Sunday, September 25, 2011

TrueGeekRadio - 9/24/2011

We have a great show for you this week and we really do mean it. No seriously. It's baller. We talk Netflix/Qwikster separation, talk to Chiptune artist MisFit Chris about his latest music, debut our Open Letter segment, Crytek UK developing Homefront 2, R.E.M calling it quits, DCnU Week 4, and much more.

Sunday, September 18, 2011

TrueGeekRadio - 9/18/2011

We didn't mean to relive our arcade roots this show, but it happened anyway, background ambiance and all. We talk rumors of Amazon's book subscription service and if it will make us read more, Matt building his MAME cabinet, PSVita and the state of handheld gaming, movies that everyone hates but you love, and WTF: The Game. You are unprepared.

Sunday, September 11, 2011

TrueGeekRadio - 9/10/2011

Back to normal, back to sexy, sexy Live! This episode we tackle Nintendo again, the prospects of another video game crash, how long to give a game before quitting, the next Friday the 13th getting the found footage treatment, the Nike Mag, week 2 of the DC reboot, Dead Island's "Feminist Whore" skill snafu, OnLive, and much more I can't remember.

Sunday, September 4, 2011

TrueGeekRadio - 9/03/2011

It's a low rent show this week as Wallace's computer is being held hostage by CompUSA and we have to resort to a digital recorder like the old days. We like to kick it old school. We talk Wallace's Miami Adventure, Matt's sleep gaming, Jaso's new mag, Deus Ex, Gamestop fucking you over, Street Fighter Third Strike, board games, fantasy football, DC's reboot, Red State, Leonardo da Vinci's resume, and some inflatable raft screwing.

Sunday, August 21, 2011

TrueGeekRadio -8/20/2011

We talk Dota 2, Basshunter, Ghost Rider trailer, 13 Assassins, 12 Assassins + 1 Wood Demon, Onlive, Pokemon, Minecraft, Whales, brain eating amoebas, Notch and his Quake 3 proposal, and much more.

Sunday, August 14, 2011

TrueGeekRadio -8/13/2011

We return! We're back in full force this week as we hit the ground running, blasting at full speed. How long can I keep these speed puns up? We talk Fallout New Vegas DLC, Catherine, OnLive, The Stanley Parable, Diablo 3, LoL: Dominion, Steam free weekends, weird science and existensialism, the Superman and Catwoman pics, Anime and streaming, and a pair of some really out their WTFs. Geese be tripping.

Sunday, July 24, 2011

TrueGeekRadio -7/23/2011

The Avengers, Amazing Spider-Man, Ghost Rider, live action Captain Planet, Evil Dead toys, Prometheus, Sigrourney Weaver returning to Alien, Knights of Badassdom, Heavy Metal, Walking Dead, Dexter, and much, much more. Racially diverse cast

Sunday, July 17, 2011

TrueGeekRadio -7/16/2011

We should call this one the movie show because we spend a good amount of time discussing how movies shaped and changed our lives, before devolving into why Diablo Cody sucks. We get distracted easily. We touch upon USB Puzzle locks, Imogen Heap and her music gloves, Harry Potter, The Dark Knight Rises trailer, The Thing and Evil Dead remakes, Watchmen, Sucker Punch, Catherine, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 rumor, EA buying Popcap, and some really crazy WTFs. The only vibration was coming from me.

Sunday, July 10, 2011

TrueGeekRadio -7/9/2011

This was going to be the show where we got back to normal after last week, but then we went ahead and broke the internet. Luckily, after a few rough minutes of juggling the livestream, our caller companions, and forgetting to sacrifice that damn goat, we hit the ground running. Mike Wong joins us this week from San Francisco and we talk Xbox Live Indie, PSN Pass, 3D TVs, HP Touch Pad and WebOs, the Steam Sale, MMOs, Rubber, Sucker Punch, and some really messed up WTF moments. All in a day's work.

Sunday, July 3, 2011

TrueGeekRadio -7/2/2011

It's just Matt and Walleh this week......with not much to talk about. It's a bit of a slow week in the world of geekdom so we discuss what games we've been playing like Shadows of the Damned and Marvel vs. Capcom 3, some F2P love, and move into what we've been watching on that thing they call the television. True Blood, Weeds, Extreme Chef, and DEXTER!!!! Fuck Lumen.

Monday, June 20, 2011

TrueGeekRadio -6/19/2011

Rapping comedians, The Six Million Dollar Man, and penis bugs. Oh my! We get to all these things and more during the show, where we are joined by newcomer Baileigh Armes who decides to block out Matt's interpretation of the Tekken storyline. Volcanoes are pussies, that can be said.

Sunday, June 12, 2011

TrueGeekRadio -6/11/2011

We're usually not cynical all the time, but when it comes to this year's E3 all we saw was, in the immortal words of South Park, "a duck in a suit spewing shit from it's mouth."

But before we get to E3, Wallace guides us through the geeky world of DJ sound controllers, Jason marvels at the plot of Human Centipede 2, and Matt goes to TOWN on the Fable series. Then we all proceed to see the WiiU as it really is: A sack of shit with a LeapFrog tablet for a controller. Seriously, Fable is a steaming pile of feces.

Sunday, June 5, 2011

TrueGeekRadio -6/4/2011

It's a smoother show this week as we finally settle in to our live stream and nail down the trainsitions. Baby steps folks.

This week, Matt is joined by Jason Surrency and Mike Rodriguez as they talk Lady Gaga's Amazon sales and how it could affect the future of music, DC rebooting their universe after Flashpoint, and how sheltered Mike was by not playing Duke Nukem 3D or watching Aliens. He won't be welcomed back until this is rectified. MATT HAS SPOKEN!

Tuesday, May 31, 2011

TrueGeekRadio -5/30/2011

This week we are joined by our permanent third chair, the illustrious Mike Wong, who brings his Apple love and world weary wisdom to the show. Be warned, this episode is a real test show. We got our webcam for streaming and took it for a run, trying to iron out kinks, while trying to keep focused. I'm surprised Wallace is still alive.

But we do manage to talk geek stuff, tackling Watson being used in hospitals, League of Legend's The Tribunal, and why only Matt want's an Android runtime environment on his Windows PC. Bitches be tripping over Android.

Sunday, May 22, 2011

TrueGeekRadio -5/21/2011

It's our very first show! Well, more like a test show. We're trying to work out the kinks and get everything ready for when we finally go live, making sweet love to your ear holes over the internet in real time. In the meantime, we're on the mics talking geeky stuff and generally being uninformed.

We pay tribute to the Macho Man Randy Savage, who sacrificed himself to save us from the Rapture and find out it's illegal to fornicate in the state of Florida. Also we have no qualm with spoiling Portal 2, but have issues with spoiling Mortal Kombat because obviously that game demands some respect. We also dive into low budget movies and why the multiplex just doesn't appeal to us, PSN and how Matt got hacked, and ask why is there a Chucky game being made.

If you want to voice your opinion about this show and help us work on it, email us at truegeekmedia@gmail.com. We'll take your feedback and mold it into an Adonis statue of utmost regard. Or just try to make things better. Whichever happens first.
